Do my weights need to add up to 100%?
For the most accurate results, your weights should add up to 100%. However, the calculator can still compute a weighted average if the total is different, dividing by whatever the total weight sum is to normalize the result.
What GPA does each letter grade correspond to?
Standard GPA equivalents are: A+ = 4.3, A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C- = 1.7, D+ = 1.3, D = 1.0, D- = 0.7, and F = 0.0. You can view the full grade scale in the Grade Scale tab.
Can I add more than the default number of assignments?
Yes, you can add unlimited assignment rows using the Add Row button. Each row accepts an optional assignment name, a grade value, and a weight. Rows can also be removed individually using the remove button on each row.
